Lithish puts MCC in title clash
HARIPAD: MCC (Malappuram) crushed Lords CC (Kollam) by 103 runs and entered the final of the K.K. Sreenivasan memorial all-Kerala cricket tournament at the GBHSS ground here on Saturday.
The highlight of MCC’s win was a whirlwind century (167 off 75 balls) by Lithish which enabled his side pile up 280 for six in its allotted 30 overs.
Lords CC could only manage 177 runs before being dismissed in the 24th over.
The scores: MCC, Malappuram 280 for six in 30 overs (Lithish 167, Sharath four for 31) bt Lords CC 177 in 24 overs.
Periyar in last four
The host Periyar University crushed Kurukshetra 5-0 and entered the semifinals of the all-India inter-university women’s football tournament in Salem on Saturday.
