Swedish band Opeth to perform at IIT

CHENNAI: Opeth, the Swedish rock band, will perform at the open air theatre of the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras on January 25 as part of the IIT’s annual fest, Saarang.
Tickets are on sale from Saturday and will be available at www.bookmyshow.com, according to a release issued by the organisers.
The band will also judge the Decibels, a music event for semi-professional bands on January 24.
A total of six Western music events will be organised.
The professional shows will also see a concert by Sonu Nigam, a dance drama by Shobana and violinist Kanyakumari with a 50-strong ensemble, the release adds.
