Ashton faces another three months out

LONDON: West Ham striker Dean Ashton could be out of action until March because of an ankle injury. The 25-year-old England international was hurt in September during Gianfranco Zola’s first training session as manager and initial hopes that he would be back in action within a month have proved wildly optimistic. — AP
