Wild cards for Indian pairs

CHENNAI: The Indian pairs of Yuki Bhambri and Harsh Mankad and Somdev Dev Varman and Prakash Amritraj have received wild cards for the doubles draw of the Chennai Open 2009 tennis tournament.

Mankad has been a member of the Indian Davis Cup team. He was the highest ranked singles player from India on the ATP Tour in June 2005 (No. 220).

Dev Varman and Amritraj have already been offered wild cards for the singles draw. The tournament will be held from January 5 to 11 at the SDAT Nungambakkam Tennis Stadium. — Special Correspondent
