Chennai: Local Administration Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday said that ace comedian N.S. Krishnan’s statue that was removed for the G.N. Chetty Road flyover work would be re-installed beneath the bridge and a garden developed around it.

Mr. Stalin inspected the final stage of work on the flyover at the junction of G.N. Chetty Road and Thirumalai Pillai Road.

Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi will inaugurate the bridge, built at a cost of Rs. 16.50 crore, on Monday.

Mr. Stalin said that bridge projects worth about Rs. 130 crore were in progress at various locations to ease traffic congestion in the city.
