Encroachments removed

OMALUR: Officials from Omalur town panchayat along with a team of police personnel removed encroachments in the bus stand here on Friday.

Vendors had occupied the pavements and platforms in the bus stand causing inconvenience to the passengers and affecting the movement of buses.

Warnings

Despite repeated warnings, the vendors had failed to remove their shops, the panchayat officials aid.

Officials had removed a number of shops established on the pavements during a drive on Friday.
