Vajpayees’s birthday celebrated

Tirupur: Members of Bharatiya Janata Party celebrated the 85th birthday of their leader and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the city on Thursday evening by donating blood and welfare to the poor.

The BJP men donated 35 units of blood to the Blood Bank functioning at the District Headquarters hospital here.

Similarly, a gold ring each was distributed to the 14 children born at the District Headquarters hospital and gave away food packets to all the 480 patients nursed at the hospital.
