Workshop on drug discovery process

COIMBATORE: The Department of Bioinformatics of Dr. G.R. Damodaran College of Science and the Institute of Computational Biology, Bangalore, are jointly organising a three-day workshop on “Role of Systems Biology and Algorithms in Drug Discovery Process” from January 5 to 7, 2009.

According to a college release, the workshop will discuss different algorithms and their application to genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, etc.

Animesh Acharjee, Ageningen University Research Group, Laboratory of Plant Breeding, the Netherlands, will be the resource person.

Those pursuing final year science / engineering / mathematics courses, research scholars, and faculty members can participate. Registration is limited to 60 entries.
