They will respond to tricky questions and make a few confessions

SHOW TIME: Fashion designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

NEW DELHI: For a change, the Mumbai-based fashion designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla will don the role of television hosts as they go about quizzing a dozen celebrity women on NDTV Good Times beginning January 3.

“The First Ladies with Abu Sandeep” will see star wives who inspire and share the exalted status and heady success of their super-achiever husbands. The show features the better-halves of some of the country’s most distinguished men: Jaya Bachchan, Gauri Khan, Suzanne Roshan, Manyata Dutt, Tanya Deol, Kiron Kher and Nita Ambani.

Each week the show will present one celebrity wife to get an inside view of her private world. During the conversation-style interview, the guests will talk about love, life, marriage and what makes them tick. They will also respond to tricky questions from the anchors and celebrity friends and even make a few confessions. Their celebrity husbands will also make an appearance on the show.

Viewers can catch Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan serenading wife Suzanne and Shah Rukh Khan playing a game of “Who’s the boss?” with wife Gauri.

Expressing their delight at anchoring the brand new chat show, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla say this is the first time they are hosting a television show and they wanted to be sure that it has a well laid out format and presentation. Not only are they anchoring the show, they have also designed the sets keeping the theme in mind.

According to Shibani Sharma Khanna of NDTV Good Times, the show will offer a rare insight into the lives and personalities of these special women who are part of phenomenal success stories: “Anchors Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla also manage to extract some of the most outspoken, never-been-made-before statements and confessions, get superstar husbands to sing love songs for their spouses and uncover who’s the boss at home.”

The show will go on the air every Saturday at 10 p.m.
