TN beats Maharashtra
CHENNAI: Host Tamil Nadu edged Maharashtra 1-0 in its opening encounter in Group IV of the AIFF under-14 girls’ National football festival being held at the Hindustan University campus. Catherine scored the only goal.
The football festival was earlier inaugurated on Wednesday by Latika Saran ADGP-T.N Police. Ashok Verghese, Director, Hindustan University presided.
The results:
Goa bt Gujarat 4-0; Orissa bt Karnataka 5-0 ; Manipur bt UP 3-1; Puducherry bt Haryana 4-1; Uttharakhand bt West Bengal 2-0; Jharkhand bt Chhattisgarh 2-0; Tamil Nadu bt Maharashtra 1-0; Tripura bt Delhi 4-0; Kerala bt Punjab 3-1.
