HYDERABAD: K. Revathi of Andhra Pradesh won the gold medal in the ball event of rhythmic category of the School Games National gymnastics championship for boys and girls which began at Saroornagar Indoor Stadium here on Thursday. Earlier, Andhra Pradesh Gymnastics Association secretary M. Balraj convened a condolence meeting before the start of the events in memory of A. V. Giriraj, the gymnastics coach of AP Sports School, who was killed a road accident. The meeting recalled that the late coach was appointed chief coach of the Indian team for the 2010 Commonwealth Games by the Gymnastics Federation of India because of his vast knowledge and experience as international coach, judge and an administrator too.
