Universal SS triumphs

KOCHI: Kozhikode’s Universal Soccer School won the McDowell’s Celebration Futsal Friendzy, the five-a-side National-level tournament, which concluded in Kolkata on Tuesday evening.

Universal, defeated Kolkata’s New Dey Paints by a lone goal and took home a cash prize of Rs 1.10 lakh. Universal’s Sharath Babu was adjudged as the tournament’s best player and awarded Rs. 15,000.

Universal also played an exhibition match against Mohun Bagan as part of the winning deal.
