Rajas triumphs

BANGALORE: Rajas Jawalkar and Poorvisha bagged the under-16 boys’ and girls’ titles respectively in the Shree Sai Gold Palace State-ranking badminton championship at the Bangalore City Institute courts here.

In the boys’ final, Jawalkar beat S. Siddarth 21-13, 21-18, while Poorvisha defeated Reshma Karthik 23-11, 21-13. In the boys’ under-13 section, Mithun Manjunath beat B.S. Sankeerth 21-16, 21-17 and claimed the title.
