COIMBATORE: There is a great demand for Indian nurses in Western countries. But, students studying here should serve our country and our people, Muruganathan Arumugam, Governing Council Member of the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, said here recently. He was speaking at the lamp lighting ceremony organised by PPG College of Nursing. Though the nurses were paid better and provided with better facilities abroad, they would not get work satisfaction. L.P.Thangavelu, Managing Trustee, PPG Memorial Charitable Trust, said the role of nurses was greater than doctors in taking care of the patients.
