House burgled

PALANI: An unidentified gang broke open a house and burgled gold jewels, silver items and cash Rs.2 lakh in the temple town on Tuesday.

The gang broke open the house owned by Velmurugan at Balasamudram and looted 25 sovereigns of gold jewels and cash Rs.92,000 when he and his wife were away from their home. When they returned, they found that their house had been burgled.
