Man found dead

KRISHNAGIRI: A van owner’s body was found with multiple stab wounds in the stomach and limbs tied up with nylon ropes near Periyasulamalai between Krishnagiri and Veppanapalli on Monday.

According to police, the diseased Arunkumar of Palacode in Dharmapuri district received a call from a man posing as a government employee from Veppanahalli with a request to help him relocate. Arunkumar left Palacode for the same and did not return home after that.

Special team

Meanwhile, some people informed Madhepatti VAO about a dead body lying near Periyasulamalai. Veppanahalli police later found the body and registered a case. A special team was formed to handle the case.

The post mortem was done at Krishnagiri and the body was handed over to the relatives on Tuesday.

Further investigation is on.
