Flight diverted

CHENNAI: A Visakhapatnam-bound Alliance Air flight from New Delhi was diverted to Chennai on Monday following thick fog at the Visakhapatnam airport.

Airport sources said it landed at the Chennai airport around 9.20 a.m. and, after weather conditions improved, took off around 10.30 a.m.

Jet Lite cancelled its Chennai – Visakhapatnam and Visakhapatnam – Chennai flights due to bad weather at Visakhapatnam, the sources said. — Special Correspondent
