Poor response to bandh in city

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The call for ‘State bandh’ given by the MRPS on Monday evoked little response while 253 of its activists were held in different parts of the city.

Mild tension prevailed when MRPS workers barged into Gandhi Bhavan, while some more activists pelted stones at two RTC buses at Musheerabad and Chilakalaguda breaking windscreens. Specific cases were registered against those involved in these cases, while others were taken into preventive custody and let off later. Among the arrested was MRPS chief Manda Krishna.
