Palakkad wins overall title
KALPETTA: Palakkad with 41 points won the overall title in the athletics events of the State mini games (group-1) which concluded at the Government Higher Secondary school here on Monday.
Wayanad with 27 points finished second while Kannur (26 points) finished third.
In games, Kottayam boys won the basketball title beating Alappuzha in the final. Kollam boys won the hockey title beating Thiruvananthapuram.
Kannur girls beat Thirssur in the girls’ hockey final. Kannur and Kozhikode won the badminton titles in the boys and girls sections respectively.
In archery, Wayanad won the championship and Thrissur finished as the runner-up.
