VAOs thank Government

PUDUKOTTAI: The Tamil Nadu Village Administrative Officers’ Association has thanked the State Government for promoting the Village ‘Karnams’ and village ‘munsifs’ to the post of VAOs. In a statement issued here on Monday, the Association’s former state general secretary, K. Pakkianathan, said that as many as 792 persons would get promotional opportunities. He also demanded the payment of the annual ‘jamabandhi’ allowance of Rs.800 due to the VAOs for the past three years.
