Assistance distributed

CHENNAI: Labour Minister T.M. Anbarasan on Monday distributed assistance to labourers and their wards under various welfare schemes instituted by the Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare Board.

The 71st Welfare Board meeting gave approval for the 2007-2008 annual budget and announced a plan outlay for 2009-2010, among other decisions.

The meeting was attended by senior officers. — Special Correspondent
