Letter writing contest for students

BANGALORE: The Department of Posts, Karnataka Postal Circle, will be holding the 38th Universal Postal Union Letter Writing Competition for students up to the age of 15 (as on March 31, 2009). According to a press release, the competition will be held on January 4 at the Government Polytechnic for Women, Seshadri Road, here, from 10 a.m. The subject is “Write a letter to someone to explain how decent working conditions can lead to a better life.” Application forms can be had from schools; office of the Chief Postmaster, GPO, Raj Bhavan Road; and offices of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Bangalore East, South and West divisions located on the premises of the Museum Road Post Office, the Jayanagar Head Post Office and the Rajajinagar Head Post Office respectively. — Staff Reporter
