Indian women win bronze

NEW DELHI: The Indian hockey team defeated Japan 3-1 to win the bronze medal in the Under-21 women’s junior Asia Cup, which concluded in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

Thus, the side qualified for the women’s junior World Cup scheduled to be held in Boston (U.S.) from August 3-16 next year. Soundarya Yendala, Vandana Katariya and Anuradha Devi scored for India.
