2 held in murder case

CHENNAI: Anna Nagar police on Sunday arrested two persons in connection with the murder of a 30-year-old man at a lodge in Shenoy Nagar on Thursday.

According to the police, the accused, Nicola and Manimaran, were arrested from their hideout in Ambattur in an early morning raid conducted by a special police team . The two were involved in the murder of Nicola’s husband Pravin.

Nicola and Pravin had moved into a lodge in Shenoy Nagar with their two children early last week.

On Thursday evening, autorickshaw driver Manimaran came to the lodge and asked Nicola to come with him to Oragadam in Ambattur.

In an argument that ensued between Manimaran and Pravin, Nicola and Manimaran allegedly stabbed Pravin and escaped.
