Asha bags double

Bangalore: Asha Nandakumar of KSLTA’s High Performance Training Centre claimed a double by winning both the women’s singles and doubles in the AITA ranking championship at Bhimavaram on Sunday.

In the singles final, Asha defeated Gita Manohar of Andhra Pradesh, 6-2, 1-0. Gita retired in the second set.

Later Asha partnered Gita and defeated Anushree Tamanna and Grace Hannah in the doubles final 6-4, 7-5.
