Former stunt artist arrested

A former stunt artist was arrested on charges of stealing petrol from motorcycles and setting them on fire at Muthialpet here on Friday night.

Police said Ganesan (35) of Saligramam, who acted in a few movies, was seen stealing petrol from a motorcycle by a patrol team that arrested him. On interrogation, he said that he stole petrol to purchase liquor. The accused was produced in a city court and remanded to judicial custody.
