Butta in lead

KOLKATA: Akshay Butta emerged the leader after two days of strokeplay in the LG-Goodricke Eastern India amateur golf tournament at the RCGC on Saturday.

Butta shot a par 72 to emerge as the top seeded player. He prevailed over Gagan Verma in a playoff.

Ashbeer Saini, 15, was placed third with one over par 73 and Manav Das, the overnight leader, carded a four over 76 to finish fourth. — Special Correspondent
