Rice seized

DAVANGERE: The district administration stopped a truck at Punaghatta village in Harpanahalli taluk on Friday evening and seized 150 quintals of rice that was being transported in it. The rice was supposed to be distributed to poor people under the Public Distribution System. A team of officials led by headquarters assistant to the Deputy Commissioner Bettasurmutt and Deputy Director of Food and Civil Supplies Ravindra seized the rice and the truck.
