Textile manager looted outside bank
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: Two motorcyclists allegedly snatched Rs.5 lakh in cash from a textile firm manager outside a bank at Vikaspuri here on Friday.
The incident took place around noon when Kamla Prasad Yadav, Natural Textile Collection Firm manager, came to the New Krishna Park branch of Vijaya Bank to withdraw money along with a field executive Pankaj Misra in a Maruti car. Mr. Yadav withdrew Rs.5 lakhs from the bank and kept the money inside a blue colour bag. The two than had a brief meeting with bank managers.
When the duo came out of the bank a few minutes later, the two bank managers also came along. Mr. Yadav, carrying the bag containing the cash, again got engaged in conversation with the managers outside the bank building, while Pankaj went out looking for the driver of their car.
Suddenly, two young men came on a motorcycle and the pillion rider snatched the bag containing the cash from the hands of Mr. Yadav. Even before he could realise what had happened the duo sped off.
