Special trains to Madurai and Ernakulam

CHENNAI: Southern Railway has announced special trains to Madurai and Ernakulam from Chennai Central.

According to a press release, Chennai Central – Madurai Special (0625) will leave Chennai Central at 8.30 p.m. on December 20 and arrive at Madurai at 8.30 a.m. the next day.

Madurai – Chennai Central Special (0626) will leave Madurai at 9.30 p.m. on December 21 and arrive at Chennai Central at 10 a.m. the next day.

They will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Karur, Tiruchi, Dindigul and Kodaikanal Road. Train No. 0626 will also stop at Perambur.

The Chennai Central – Ernakulam Super Fast Special (train number 0627) will leave Chennai Central at 4.30 p.m. on December 22 and arrive at Ernakulam at 5.15 a.m. the next day. It will have one AC 2-tier, one AC 3-tier, 10 sleeper class, eight general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches. It will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Podanur, Palakkad, Thrissur and Aluva.
