Shamim Khan stays ahead

NOIDA: Shamim Khan remained ahead of the pack despite a three-over 75 on the third day of the ONGC Masters golf championship at the Noida Golf Club course here on Friday. Though Shamim’s overnight lead reduced to four strokes from six, he remains the favourite to win his second successive title on the PGTI Tour. He claimed the title at Jamshedpur last week.

Shamim’s three-round tally of 10-under still looked impressive, compared to Vijay Kumar and Amardip Sinh Malik who share second spot at four-over.

Vijay shot a 68 while Malik carded a 73 on Friday.
