NEW DELHI: Two seamers left their mark on the second day of the Bengal-Goa Ranji Trophy Plate semifinals at the Karnail Singh Stadium here on Friday. Sourabh Bandekar had a six-wicket haul as Bengal, resuming at 257 for five, was all out for 337. And then, Ranadeb Bose claimed all the five wickets that fell in Goa’s innings. Goa finished the day at 95 for five. Much of the interest around Sourav Ganguly, 69 overnight, ended on the second ball of the day when he edged and perished at the same score. Bandekar, who played in the under-19 World Cup at Colombo, has improved immensely to emerge the spearhead of the Goan attack. Bose bowled with lot of control on a day when the conditions could have easily tempted him to go flat out. The scores: Bengal — 1st innings: A. Majumdar b Bandekar 39, A. Chowdhary b D’Souza 2, W.
