Satya nets four

HYDERABAD: Striker Satyavijayanand scored four goals, including a hat-trick, to fashion Nav Bharat Hockey Club’s emphatic 9-3 win over State Bank of India in the inaugural Vamshi Krishna memorial invitation hockey tournament at Begumpet Police Stadium here on Friday.

AP enters semifinal

Andhra Pradesh men defeated Maharashtra 36-10 in the quarterfinal of the 8th all-India BSNL kabaddi championship.

The results: Quarterfinals: J & K bt Punjab 34-19; AP bt Maharashtra 36-10; Rajasthan bt Kerala 31-5; Karnataka bt UP (West) 46-42.
