Senior journalist passes away

NEW DELHI: Former editor of National Herald and Congress Sandesh K.V.S. Rama Sarma passed away on Thursday. He was 73 and was suffering from cancer.

The senior journalist is survived by his wife Uma Sarma, daughter and journalist Kota Neelima, son-in-law Pawan Khera, son Kota Sriraj and daughter-in-law Hima Bindu.

The mortal remains were cremated at Nigambodh Ghat on Friday and a large number of journalists, friends and family members attended the funeral. The trayodashah or Vaikunatha Samaradhana ceremony would be performed at D-II/53, Kaka Nagar on December 29 from 3 p.m.
