Camp for schoolchildren
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Sarva Siksha Abhyian, a national programme aimed at achieving universal elementary education, will organise a three-day camp for primary schoolchildren from Friday. The camp will conduct sessions on aerobics, story and poetry workshops, film-making, traditional art forms and swimming. The camp would assist in the holistic development of the children, said Anavoor Nagappan, president, district panchayat. The module for each session has been designed by psychiatrists and other leading experts. The three-day event will conclude with the release of films brought by children as a part of the camp. The camps will be held in all the panchayats of the district. — Staff Reporter
