Common use systems at airports to be standardised
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI: Airports Authority of India (AAI) and IBS Software Services have signed a memorandum of understanding to be part of a global initiative launched by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to standardise the common use systems for airport operations.
The common use passenger processing systems (CUPPS) is a major step by the IATA to ensure that there is an open standard available on a newer technology specific to passengers in the context of a shared check-in gate podium or kiosk, says an official release.
