NCB gets new Director General
NEW DELHI: An Indian Police Service officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre of 1975 batch O.P.S. Malik took over as the Director General of the Narcotics Control Bureau here on Wednesday.
Mr. Malik, a post-graduate in physics from DU, has served in organisations like the Central Reserve Police Force, the Border Security Force and the Uttar Pradesh Police. He had also participated in “Operation Parakram” that was conducted on the Indo-Pak border by BSF. For his services, Mr Malik has also been conferred with the Police Medal for Gallantry, Police Medal for Meritorious-Service and the Police Medal for Distinguished Service.
Before he joined the NCB, Mr. Malik was on deputation with the Sashastra Seema Bal as the Additional Director General of Police.
