1 killed, 13 injured in accident

SANKAGIRI: A man was killed and 13 others sustained injuries in a collision involving a van and a lorry here on Wednesday morning.

The police said the van carrying devotees from Perambur was proceeding to Sabarimala when the accident took place. Shanmugam (32), a devotee, died on the way to hospital. The injured were admitted to a private hospital in Erode. Sankagiri police registered a case.
