Student killed in accident

VIJAYAWADA: A 17-year-old Intermediate student died on the spot when a lorry ran over him near Skew Bridge on Tuesday.

According to the police, M. Harish Babu, a resident of Ramalingeswara Nagar, was going to his college, Chaitanya IIT Academy located at Benz Circle, around 7 a.m. The lorry hit him from behind and ran over him as soon as he crossed Ramalingeswara katta near the bridge on his bicycle. The police said, quoting his mother Lakshmi, that the boy secured 564 marks in the SSC and the Chaitanya college management offered him free seat in the Intermediate.
