JD(S) to support AIADMK in bypoll

MADURAI: Janata Dal (Secular) will support the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam in the by-election to the Thirumangalam Assembly constituency, according to P. Muhammed Ismail, president of the State unit of the party. Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Mr. Ismail said JD (S) would work for the victory of the AIADMK candidate.

“A strong third front is in the offing and we are expecting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati to join the front,” he said.
