Man held for carrying country-made gun

CHENGAM: The Pudupalayam police in Tiruvannamalai district arrested a 25- year-old man for possessing a country-made gun without license, here on Sunday. Police said that Kumar (25) of Pudupalayam, had been going with a country made gun for hunting at Thaamalai, a thick reserve forest area. During this time Pudupalayam Sub Inspector of Police Chellapandian had come to the area on a raid. Seeing Kumar carrying a country-made gun without a license, the police arrested him and seized the gun.
