Kancheepuram, Tiruchi win

Chennai: Tiruchi and Kancheepuram won the boys and girls titles respectively in the under 16 State volleyball tournament, conducted jointly by SRM University and SDAT, at the SRM campus, Kattangkalathur, on Sunday.

The results: Boys: Final: Tiruchi bt Madurai 25-19, 25-10. Semifinals: Madurai bt Tiruvallur 28-25; 25-10; Tiruchi bt Cuddalore 25-16, 25-13.

Girls: Final: Kancheepuram bt Salem 25-22, 21-25, 25-21. Semifinals: Kancheepuram bt Chennai 25-7, 25-14; Salem bt Virudunagar 25-20, 25-15.
