Stalin criticises Left parties

Staff Reporter

TIRUCHI: Local Administration Minister M. K. Stalin on Sunday criticised the Left parties for their “malicious propaganda” over the flood relief measures being implemented by the State government.

Speaking to reporters after inspecting construction of houses at the Periyar Memorial Samathuvapuram at Malligaipatti village near Marungapuri, Mr. Stalin said the government was impartially implementing relief measures for the flood and rain-hit people across the State.

The entire government machinery had been geared up and Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi had held detailed discussions with Collectors of the worst-hit districts.

The Minister said the Communist Party leaders were politicising the flood relief measures. “Even these leaders know there is an ulterior motive behind the propaganda.”
