Minister’s efforts to establish zoo lauded

Tiruchi: The MGR Nal Pani Mandram has appreciated and thanked Forest Minister N. Selvaraj for making efforts to establish a zoological park near Tiruchi. In a statement, its founder secretary N. Ramakrishnan said the establishment of a zoo was a big scheme which would prove a boon for the district.

He appealed to the Forest and Police authorities to take steps to check killing of rare animals and birds in Samayapuram, Mannachanallur and Cauvery ‘padugai’ areas.
