TIRUCHI: The entire Parish Hall at the All Saints Church was filled with an air of joy, hope, love and faith on Saturday evening, with a number of persons singing Carols. The 45-th ‘Carols by Candlelight’ featured the songs ‘Carollers’ march,’ ‘Cradled All Lowly,’ and ‘Song in the air.’ There was also a nice presentation of Tamil Carols’. The songs on mass singing – ‘O Come all ye faithful,’ ‘While Shepherds’ ‘The Bethlehem Song’ ‘It came upon the midnight,’ ‘Once in royal’ and ‘Silent night’ – made for a perfect mood for those gathered on the occasion. There was a sense of mourning too. With a candle in their hands, the participants paid their homage to those who were killed in the Mumbai blasts. The Professor of St. Paul’s Seminary, Rev. Fr. Michael Joe; the Presbyter of All Saints Church, Rev,Jeyakumar Deva; the Chaplain, Joseph Eye Hospital, Dora Suresh; and the Chief Medical Officer, Paul Gunachander were among those who were present.
