Sharma, Parmar bag golds

BANGALORE: Korea, with a haul of 14 golds, emerged as the overall champion in the second Asian Paralympic badminton championship which concluded at Karnataka Badminton Association courts here on Sunday.

India and Malaysia tied for the second spot with seven golds each and for the host, good performances by Girish Kumar Sharma and the World women’s champion Parul D. Parmar were the highlights.

Mr. Shankar Bidri, Chief Commissioner of Police, presided and gave away the prizes.
