DMK factional feud; four held

Tirupur: Four Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam workers were arrested at Gudimangalam near here on Sunday on the charge of injuring a DMK councillor of Gudimangalam panchayat union owing to factional fights within the party.
Accused
The police said the accused, Kanagaraj, Natchimuthu, Subramanian and Selvaraj, pelted with stones at the car carrying the councilllor, Selvakumar, on Saturday night.
Selvakumar, who suffered injuries, was later admitted to a private hospital in Coimbatore.
The car was severely damaged in the attack.
Road block
The supporters of Selvakumar attempted to block road near Gudimangalam in protest against the attack, which was thwarted by the police.
