Fake currency racket busted, three held in Jammu
Jammu: Three persons were arrested for allegedly running a fake currency racket in the border area of R.S. Pura in the district of Jammu, police said on Sunday.
Police raided a house in Kotli Bagwan on Saturday night and arrested Harnam Singh, Lukhi Kumar and Thoda Ram, they said.
Fake currency notes worth Rs.52,000 were seized, the police said.
A case has been registered in this regard.
Currency brought from Punjab
According to preliminary investigation, the fake currency had been brought from Punjab for circulation in Jammu and Kashmir, police said. — PTI
