VISAKHAPATNAM: It was a tryst with the ‘Men of War’ for the families of the naval fraternity, when they sailed onboard 17 naval warships of the Eastern Fleet and local flotilla to witness naval exercises on Sunday. The visitors comprised both naval and defence civilian families from various naval units at Visakhapatnam. The majesty of the sea is often revealed only to those who venture into the wide vast ocean. The Families’ Day at Sea was conducted under the auspices of Rear Admiral Anurag G Thapliyal, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet. Vice Admiral Nirmal Verma, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command and Mrs. Madhulika Verma also sailed onboard INS Jalashwa as guests of the Eastern Fleet.
