Dravid’s loss of form temporary, says Ganguly
Special Correspondent
KOLKATA: Former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly on Saturday backed Rahul Dravid to regain form soon.
Nicknamed ‘The Wall,’ Dravid’s recent dismal form has been a cause of concern for many but his former teammate Ganguly felt the phase was temporary.
“One should not judge Dravid by a few failures. His loss of form is temporary and I am sure he will come up with a big knock to silence his critics,” Ganguly told reporters after a practice session at the Eden Gardens here on Saturday.
“Dravid is a great cricketer. It will be wrong to say that it is over for him,” he added.
The left-hander, who is keeping himself fit to represent Bengal in the ongoing Ranji Trophy, said he was very keen to play for his State in the semifinals.
He hopes Bengal would do well in the upcoming matches.
